The Product: Jogging Stroller
For parents on the run, purchasing a jogging stroller early on may be a smart decision. Although they tend to be a little more expensive and heavier than your ordinary stroller, the wheel size of a jogging stroller allows you to maneuver in any type of terrain. When purchasing a jogging stroller, the trade off between wheel size and bulkiness is something to keep in mind. The larger the wheel size, the smoother the ride, but this extra weight and material will make transporting and folding the stroller a little more difficult. For serious runners looking to purchase a jogging stroller, make sure the one you choose has updated shock and break absorbers, a padded harness for the comfort of your child, and a safety wrist strap so the stroller cannot roll away.
Recommendation: Bob Revolution Jogging Stroller
The Bob Revolution Stroller successfully strikes a middle ground between your everyday jogging stroller and your travel stroller. With two 16" wheels in the back and a lockable 12" swivel wheel in the front, the stroller is by far one of the most versatile I have used for it truly "turns on a dime." Whether you are in the supermarket or on the beach, the ride is smooth and seamless for both you and your little one. We have found the foot activated, rear wheel brake system, easy to use and keeps the stroller securely in place. The roomy interior with a 70° incline, which features multiple positions, as well as the large sun canopy make this stroller conducive to napping on-the-go. Also, the padding on the Bob Revolution Stroller is more comfortable and the harness straps are less annoying than many of the other strollers we have tried in the past.
I really liked this stroller because of all the storage space it has:
underneath the seat and in the back pouch. There's definitely enough room to pack a lunch and some toys if you're going on a trip for the afternoon. The Bob Revolution Stroller is able to adapt with your growing child with infant seat adaptability and a single child capacity of 70 pounds. The unique suspension system on this stroller makes even the bumpiest rides smooth, you can definitely take it out for a jog, or even out to your local hiking trails – the beverage holder definitely is useful.
Over all, the Bob Revolution Stroller is one of the best jogging strollers I have tested. It may have a slightly higher price than some others but, it will outperform them all and, remains significantly cheaper than the more expensive models. The durability is far and above any other stroller I would compare it to.
Devil's Advocate:
The only negative thing I have to say about the Bob Revolution Stroller is that it's somewhat difficult to fold and unfold. Not to mention that when it's folded, you have to lay it on its side because it does not balance vertically. Also, I do not recommend flying with the Bob Revolution Stroller. Due to its bulky size, many airlines do not allow you to check it at the gate.
