Keeping Your Feet Warm In Ski Boots – Hotronic M3

I love to ski, but my feet are always cold due to poor circulation. For years, I used to buy boots that were too big to give me the wiggle room that I needed, but this really took away from performance. Also, the disposable heaters really get in your way. However, along with warmer boot liners, the latest Hotronic M3/M4 Ski Boot Warmers made a huge difference for me and have brought the fun back to skiing. Hotronic’s have a heating pad that goes under your foot bed in your ski boot which is then connected to rechargeable battery pack. The system keeps your feet warm for hours. I am currently testing out the redesigned Hotronic Power Plus M3’s which work very well and don’t have the same memory problems that plagues older Hotronic models.

Lead Free Toys for the Holidays

I am not sure if the problem is bigger than it ever was or if we are all now more aware, but any time my kids put something in there mouth these days that’s painted, my reaction is to take it away and see if its made in China. With toy recalls now a daily occurrence and the industry reeling, it’s definitely making people thing twice about what gifts they by this holiday season.

As part of my 2007 Holiday Gift list, I have selected toys only where the manufacturers or retailer has stated the the materials or paint are non-toxic You may also feel better buying from a retailer such as Land of Nod or eBeanstalk, who have taken a probative stance to test the items that they sell and ensure their safety. Also, this statement may be somewhat of a generalization, but the majority of the problems seem to be with cheap toys. Items that are made with real wood, are handmade, etc are generally a better bet and will also last much longer.

Cutting Your Cable Internet and Phone Bill

If you haven’t noticed from your junk mail, there is a lot of competition these days for your phone, internet and television business as the lines blur between the companies that offer these services. Additionally, these companies have spent so much money to acquire new customers that they will go to great lengths to keep you. If your current phone, cable or internet plan is over six months old, chances are you are overpaying. Call your provider and tell them that a competitor has offered you a better deal to switch over and you are thinking taking the offer unless they can match it or do better. A good rule of thumb is to shoot for 20-30% below what you are paying currently and to name the competitor i.e. Comcast, RCN.

If they won’t budge, ask to speak with the cancellation department and tell them you want to cancel your service. These are the folks who are empowered to make a last ditch effort to keep you. Case in point, when I recently switched to Verzion’s new FOIS service, the retention department at RCN called me and offered a package that was 50% of what I was currently paying. You may have to go all the way with the bluff, however you can always pick a cancellation date a few weeks out and then call and change your mind. They will be more than happy to keep you as a customer, so you have nothing to lose.
