The Product: Travel Stroller / Carseat
There are a few unique products on the market that are designed to help
you bring less gear with you when you travel.
Recommendation: Lilly Gold Sit N
Stroll Review
I have to confess that I don’t currently own a Lilly Gold Sit N Stroll, but I
have done a lot of formal and informal research on the product and plan
to get one this time around. The Sit N Stroll is very cleverly designed
product which acts as a hybrid carseat/stroller designed to easily convert
between both functions. It can also be used as a booster seat for dining.
If you travel by airplane a lot, this should be an invaluable product for
you. I have several friends who love it and I have often chatted with parents
in airports to ask them their option of the product, only to hear similar
accolades. The Sit N Stroll is LATCH equipped and can be used both rear facing (5-30lbs) and forward facing (20-40
pounds). For those that are worried about the performance of the Sit N’
Stroll as a carseat, the company claims it meet or exceeds all current federal
safety standards. It’s also approved for airplane use.
Devil's Advocate:
Although it is a master of all trades, if you plan to give the Sit N Stroll
a real workout as a stroller, you may be disappointed. Even if you do
need to bring a separate stroller, I have read reviews from many parents
who say its worth having just for the ability to use as a stroller in
and around the airport, especially if you have a connection. This way
you just check your stroller with your luggage and skip the whole gate
check process, which is usually how strollers get damaged anyway. Also, check out the GoGo Kidz, whihc is another great alternative.
Recommended Accessories
I would recommenced getting the travel bag (See Pricing & Styles) if you ever need to gate check
your Sit & Stroll to protect it from damage.
The Sun Shade is also great attachment for those warm weather
destinations.
